Aims
Our aim at St. Sebastian’s is to provide quality care for the children in a safe, happy and stimulating environment, where they can develop mentally, physically and socially in preparation for school. We offer your child a curriculum leading to approved learning outcomes, following the foundation goals. Our main ethos is that children have fun while learning and enjoy making friends with other children.
Nursry Grants
All three and four year olds are entitled to a free nursery place for up to 5 sessions of 2.5 hours a week. The grant is paid to the provider. You as parents can choose to take all five sessions or less if you wish, and you can also use more than one provider. This is available to children from the term following their third birthday.
Children born between 1 Sept - 31 Dec will be funded with effect from the spring term
Children born between 1 Jan - 31 Mar will be funded with effect from the summer term
Children born between 1 April - 31 Aug will be funded with effect from the autumn term
Children can join the pre-school before they are funded, but parents must pay the appropriate session fees until their child is eligible for funding.
Special needs, equal opportunities
We employ enough adults to give all children individual attention and equal opportunities. Each child, with our without disabilities, will be able to progress at their own speed in all areas of development. We work in close liaison with special needs professionals. St. Stebastian’s offers a variety of experiences all children can enjoy. Talk to the manager about the group’s ability to meet your child’s needs.
