                                                St Sebastians Nursery Class Home-Nursery Agreement
                                                                    Agreement for children
                                                                       I will do my best to:

  • Come to nursery on time                    
  • Show respect to everyone within nursery and the environment            
  • Listen carefully
  • Treat others the way I hope to be treated
  • Take part in all the activities
  • Move around the nursery, church, Marple Bridge and Forest School sensibly.
  • Set a good example to the younger children.

                                                                     Agreement for Parents/Carers
                                                                             I will do my best to:

  • Make sure my child arrives in nursery on time and is collected on time
  • Make sure that my child attends nursery regularly and inform the nursery of the reason for any absence
  • Support the nursery in maintaining good behavior and discipline
  • Attend consultations for parents/carers
  • Ensure that my child is dressed appropriate to the weather, warm clothes in the winter and cooler in the summer with appropriate winter hats and sun hats etc
  • Let you know if there are any problems that may affect my child’s ability to learn
  • Make sure my child has all they need for the nursery day
  • Encourage awareness of all aspects of the curriculum in a positive attitude to learning
  • Support the nursery ethos and following of the nursery rules
  • Work in partnership with staff to extend and encourage children’s learning

                                                To help your child at nursery, we will try our best to:

  • Respect and value each child as an individual
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children
  • Encourage children to do their best at all times in work and behaviour
  • Promote kindness, courtesy and good manners
  • Inform you regularly of how your children are progressing
  • Offer a broad and balanced curriculum which meets the needs of children
  • Inform you what we aim to provide each term
  • Contact you as soon as possible if we are concerned about your child’s learning and development, behaviour, attendance or punctuality
  • To be welcoming at all times and offer opportunities for you to become involved in the Home Nursery Agreement
